Or, to put it another way, organic soil is how soil exists in nature. Before chemicals were added. Before synthetic and modified ingredients depleted the soil of its natural power, this is how soil existed.

Organic soil differs from regular soil in that it contains organic matter such as compost, manure, and other natural matter that is vital for providing nutrients for plants and improving soil structure. Regular soil may lack essential nutrients and organic matter, making it less suitable for gardening, and may even contain harmful chemicals or pollutants that could be detrimental to plant growth and the environment.

All of this activity directly impacts the soil and creates a power-packed foundation for future growth. It creates a soil that is “living.”
To determine if soil is organic, there are several indicators to consider. Firstly, check the label for certifications such as USDA Organic or OMRI Listed, as this indicates that the soil meets organic standards. Secondly, look for organic materials as organic soil typically contains organic materials such as compost, manure, peat moss, or leaf mold. Lastly, organic soil does not contain chemical additives like synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides.
