A Planting Mix and a Mulch in One Bag

Kellogg Garden Organics All Natural Planting Mix is a 2-in-1 organic planting mix and mulch recommended for trees, shrubs, roses, and flowers. You can use All Natural Planting Mix as a soil amendment to add a boost of nutrients to your trees, shrubs, roses, and groundcover. It helps loosen compacted clay soil and adds rich organic material that creates the right balance of moisture retention and aeration for strong root growth.

You can also add All Natural Planting Mix on top of the soil around trees and shrubs as a nutrient-rich organic mulch, keeping the soil cool and moist while it slowly releases nutrients into the ground. Whether you use it as a soil amendment or a mulch, it is made from natural ingredients and safe for your family and pets to be around.

How to Use All Natural Planting Mix

  1. For New Trees, Shrubs, and Flowers: Mix All Natural Planting Mix into the planting hole at a ratio of about 1 part planting mix to 2 parts native soil. One 1.5 cu. ft. bag transplants 4–5 one-gallon plants or 2 five-gallon plants.
  2. To Enrich Existing Beds: Spread All Natural Planting Mix over the bed and work it into the top few inches of soil. One 1.5 cu. ft. bag amends about 10 sq ft.
  3. As a Top Mulch: Spread a 2 to 3 inch layer around the base of trees, shrubs, and flowers. Keep the mulch a few inches away from trunks and stems to prevent rot.
  4. Feed Through the Season: Pair with Kellogg Garden Organics All Purpose Fertilizer for steady plant nutrition.
