A Garden Soil Made Near You, for the Ground You Garden In

NearSource Organics In-Ground Garden Soil is a regionally sourced organic amendment designed to enhance native soil for successful in-ground plantings. The soil is made with locally sourced organic materials, which means fewer miles per bag and lower carbon emissions on the way to your garden.

The regional formulation varies by location and may include processed forest products, recycled forest products, humus, rice hulls, compost, dolomite lime, and processed poultry manure. It is 100% organic and peat-free. Mix it with your native soil to build stronger roots and healthier plants in vegetable gardens, flower beds, and landscape plantings.

How to Use In-Ground Garden Soil

  1. For New In-Ground Plantings: Mix In-Ground Garden Soil into the planting hole at about 1 part garden soil to 2 parts native soil. Water thoroughly after planting.
  2. For Preparing a Vegetable or Flower Bed: Spread over the bed and work into the top few inches of native soil before planting.
  3. For Landscape Plantings: Use as the soil amendment when planting trees, shrubs, or groundcover.
  4. Feed Through the Season: Pair with a compatible organic fertilizer for ongoing plant nutrition.

Native Beds That Hold Together

Mixes into native soil to build the structure roots need to spread and stay put.

Third-Party Verified Organic

OMRI Listed and CDFA Organic Input Material registered, so the organic claim is independently checked.

NearSource Organics In-Ground Garden Soil is listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI), the leading non-profit, internationally recognized material review organization accredited by the USDA Quality Assessment Division.

Every ingredient and every process that goes into making In-Ground Garden Soil has been verified 100% compliant for organic use, all the way to the original source.
